Having used my artist name, xavea, since I was about 16 years old, I have experimented with a number of creative pursuits. In addition to writing this blog, I write interactive fiction, poetry and stories. I have also done various art projects in yarn crafting, cross stitching, spoken word, musical and other live performances.
Some of my other hobbies include reading; gaming in various forms – tabletop, text, video, live action; weightlifting; dancing; and singing.
I am actively involved in giving back to my communities through volunteering and public speaking. I am passionate about mental health advocacy, addictions awareness, feminism, social justice, and the people I love (…and tea… and chocolate).
This blog was created to be a space for my series exploring identity politics, but has expanded to include posts on whatever other topics I feel like writing about and to showcase my creative works.
